Un sourire angelique,

Your pictures with the kids show how wonderful you were,
Never met you Sarah and yet you touched my heart forever,
Rest in peace angel…

Hearts are broken all over the world. Anyone who ever saw KA knows what a special artist you are, and how much you will be missed here. Fly even higher now, Sarah; you are a beautiful angel…
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. I am an avid fan of the Cirque du Soleil shows and the work and talent that go into each and every show can never be taken for granted. Sarah touched so many hearts and was the ultimate professional. We, the public, are sadly reminded that the talents of these phenomenal performers is extremely hard work and that no performance is without risk. My sincerest condolences to Sarah’s family, her friends, her fellow cast members of KA and to the entire Cirque family. There truly are no words. God be with you all, and in time give the Cirque family the strength that Sarah was so full of , the strength to carry on the Cirque tradition of brilliant artistry.
Violetta Lilla Baliga says:
Sarah, I didn’t know you, but I am heard about the performance, KA where you did a magnificent job. When I saw the coverage on the TV, that you are died during the show, my heart was broken thousands of pieces. Rest in peace Sarah and fly as high as you can with your angel wings.

And my comment in my own language, Hungarian:
Sarah, nem ismertelek, de hallottam a KÁ című előadásról, amelyben varázslatosan szerepeltél. Amikor láttam a TV-ben a tudósítást a halálodról, a szívem ezer darabra tört. Nyugodj békében és repülj az angyalszárnyaiddal olyan magasra, amennyire csak tudsz.

I did not personally know this beautiful woman who lost her life while performing in Ka, but have a daughter who performs in Quidam, so can only imagine how shocking this must be for her family and co-performers. We know how risky their beautiful performances really are, while always hoping and praying every day that they stay safe. It can only be a very small comfort that she died doing what she loved so much. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who knew her in any way.
Julie Watson says:
While I did not know Sarah, my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends -she sounds like such a wonderful, loving person. May her memory help comfort you all.
Below is a poem that I would like to share, it is called The Dash.
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone,
from the beginning…to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own,
the cars…the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.
So, think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what’s true and real
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy is being read,
with your life’s actions to rehash…
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent YOUR dash?

I am lost for words. So I will borrow these:
“The present flowed by them like a stream. The tree rustled. It had made music before they were born, and would continue after their deaths, but its song was of the moment. The moment had passed. The tree rustled again. Their senses were sharpened, and they seemed to apprehend life. Life passed. The tree rustled again.”
E.M. Forster (Howards End)
Rest in peace.
David Da Vanzo, NZ says:
She gave everything for her art, including, most tragically, her life. Deepest sympathies to her family, and to her friends – who it is obvious number in the thousands. Cece Winans sang a song at Whitney Houston’s funeral called Don’t Cry which might provide a source of comfort at this sorrowful time.
Jeff M from Georgia says:
My sympathies to the children, family and cast. I have seen the show three times. It is AMAZING. It was obvious that all of the cast were doing what they enjoyed. Thanks Sarah for all of the wonderful performances.

My heart has been broken for you since I heard the news of Sarah’s accident. I am sending my love and prayers to express my profound sympathy.

“When Great Trees Fall”
When great trees fall,
rocks on distant hills shudder,
lions hunker down
in tall grasses,
and even elephants
lumber after safety.
When great trees fall
in forests,
small things recoil into silence,
their senses
eroded beyond fear.
When great souls die,
the air around us becomes
light, rare, sterile.
We breathe, briefly.
Our eyes, briefly,
see with
a hurtful clarity.
Our memory, suddenly sharpened,
examines,
gnaws on kind words
unsaid,
promised walks
never taken.
Great souls die and
our reality, bound to
them, takes leave of us.
Our souls,
dependent upon their
nurture,
now shrink, wizened.
Our minds, formed
and informed by their
radiance,
fall away.
We are not so much maddened
as reduced to the unutterable ignorance
of dark, cold
caves.
And when great souls die,
after a period peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.
We can be. Be and be
better. For they existed.”
